AmSecurities Sdn Bhd is a participating organisation of Bursa Malaysia Berhad (Bursa Securities) and a member of the
AmSecurities was incorporated on 16 November 1982 as Kris Securities Sdn Bhd. On 3 October
1986, it changed its name to Arab-Malaysian Securities Sdn Bhd when Arab-Malaysian Banking Group acquired the company. On 15
June 2002, the Arab-Malaysian Banking Group changed its name to AmBank Group, in line with its new corporate identity.
This in turn resulted in a name change for the Company, to AmSecurities Sdn Bhd ("AmSecurities").
AmSecurities has shareholders' funds in excess of RM380 million and adjusted capital in excess of RM300 million.
The Company provides stockbroking services to institutional and retail clients both at home and abroad. Our associates in foreign countries are:
- Fraser Securities Pte. Ltd. in Singapore.
- P.T. AmCapital Indonesia in Jakarta, Indonesia.
To meet the challenges of globalisation and the impending liberalisation
of the capital market, AmSecurities acquired South Johor Securities
Sdn Bhd (SJS) on 26th February 2001. SJS was the only stockbroking
company in Batu Pahat and had been involved in retail stockbroking
since 1973. On 17th September 2001, the stockbroking operations
of SJS were merged with AmSecurities and converted to AmSecurities
Batu Pahat branch. With this Batu Pahat branch, AmSecurities is
strategically positioned to widen its business reach beyond the

worth clients located in Malaysia and overseas. With a team of
dealers, access to substantial capital resources, coupled with
local and international contacts, AmSecurities has the ability
to deal in large lines of stocks.
In order to provide service to our clients, we
are continuously developing long-term business relationships with
established market participants in major financial centres.
Traditionally, commissioned dealer's representatives, who
are more commonly known as remisiers, handle retail trading in stocks
and shares in Malaysia. AmSecurities values the support of
its remisiers in meeting the needs of the retail segment of the
capital market and will continue to support them in their work.
Our associated company, AmFutures Sdn Bhd
is a trading member of Bursa Malaysia Derivatives Bhd. (Bursa Derivaties).
It is also a clearing member of Bursa Malaysian Derivatives Clearing
Bhd. (Bursa Clearing (D)). A number of our dealers and remisiers
also hold licences as Futures Broker's Representatives and therefore
are able to service clients who wish to trade in the futures and options market.
To ensure quick response and quality service to our clients,
we have close to 285 trained staff. In addition to a strong staff
force, we also have over 340 dealers and remisiers to cater to
the needs of our retail clients.
